Technology

http://www.edgarsnyder.com/car-accident/cell-phone/cell-phone-statistics.html

How many of you honestly send one text during driving? I know I do sometimes, but I wont be after reading this. Here are some of the facts from the article;

  • In 2012, 3,328 people were killed in distraction-related crashes.
  • About 421,000 people were injured in crashes involving a distracted driver.
  • In 2012, 11% of drivers under age 20 involved in fatal accidents were reported to be distracted at the time of the crash.
  • One-fourth of teenagers respond to at least one text message every time they drive and 20% of teens and 10% of parents report having multi-message text conversations while driving.
  • Talking on a cell phone while driving can make a young driver's reaction time as slow as that of a 70 year old.
  • Answering a text takes away your attention for about five seconds. That is enough time to travel the length of a football field.
  • Studies have found that texting while driving causes a 400% increase in time spent with eyes off the road.
Even if technology has improved relationships, it has ruined drivers. Half the people on the road text and drive. I thought i would share this to put the "awe" it did into me.

Never take for granted good days

When you think your day cant get any worse, you are usualy right, right?
So after having a horrible day with the bank, and then fighting with my boyfriend over something stupid.So, I decide to go to the laundry mat with a friend, help her with kaundry and get my mind of things. That did help, everyine knows its nice to be able to vent to someone. So we finish the laundry , and we part our ways. Im at the light in the left hand turn lane; IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION, and the light turns yellow, so i turn... what was i supposed to do? Stay in the middle of the intersection? I think not! I make it probably half a mile and what do i see....?
All that runs through my mind is
" you have got to be F'n kidding me"
So I pull over, as im supposed to. He gets out of his car and goes on insisting that I ran a red light. I dont argue because most know that that doesnt get you anywhere, and even if you are right; it is their word over yours. F'd up, I know, but thats America for you.
But anyways, he comes up to the window,
"licence... registration... proof of insurance"
We all know the drill, I already had my licence out, and I hand it to him. I open the glove box, and start to go through all the random stuff in there looking for the other 2 artifacts that i NEED. What do you know though, neither are in there. Like everyother girl, what do I start to do? This.....

So now the thought of me getting a stupid ticket for " running a red light" is there and now I have the thought of me going to jail. The cop comes back and hands me a ticket for " no current proof of insurance" and writes me a warning for the red light. In all it could have ended worse then it really did.All I have to do is take my proof, ( which was on my kitchen table because I just got new insurance cards) and show it to the court. No ticket or increase in my insurance but the whole point of this is we all have bad days,so when your having a good day, really appreciate it; because life is shitty.

The big world

Watching the small clip from Wall-e honestly put a smile on my face. I have honestly never seen the movie so it was all cute. My reaction to this clip wasn't very shocking though. I feel what Pixar is trying to do is predict how they see how the future will be. Everyone will be over weight and will be using electronics to do literally EVERYTHING. When the man fell out of his floating chair he couldn't even stand uo and get back into it. This scene very well related to today. People are becoming more and more lazy since the up rise of technology. Plus the population is becoming more obese as fast food gets cheaper and more greasier and modified...

Who is excited for summer?

I know that there is still what, 8 more weeks of school left; but I am more them excited for Summer vacation. Not only because I will get to sleep in, but i am actually going to do a lot of things.

For the most part im going to your typical places like California; go to Disneyland and the beach. Also going to Pittsburgh to visit some family ( that's typical for me,) but this summer I'm going to also visit Vegas. It is my first time ever going, plus I will be going to EDC, which stands for Electric Daisy Carnival.

It is a 3 day carnival that goes from 6pm to 6 am.Approximately they let in around 200,000 people. Hundreds of dj's off all different types of "electronica" music produsuers come and there is also rides and carnival type amusment. I persoally really ejjoy EDM, so this all makes me super excited. Plus I am going with a Huge group of friends of mine that I have had mostly since elementary school.

Just thought id all let you know,

There is this show, and let me tell you if you havent heard of it then you are so lucky to be reading this.
The show is called " Workaholics".
It is a Sitcom that plays on Comedy central on Wednesday nights at 11:00 PM.The show is a comedy,and has a lot of cruel humor; so if you get offended by that or don't like it I wouldn't suggest watching this show. But if you find stuff like that funny like me, then you'll love it.  The show is actually written by the three you see in the picture. Blake, Anders, and Adam; and they go by there real names on their show. How they actually got their show is what is the best part. They started by just doing improv videos on you tube, and comedy centrals executive (Walter Newman)saw their videos and got them a show. Since they write there own skits , they mostly do improve on their lines ; which makes it 10x funnier because you can tell their being themselves. You almost feel like as your watching it , that you know them. Here is a link to there page on Comedy central ;

Lets blog about Blogs

When I think of a blog, I think of the MTV show " Awkward", where the main character has a meesly blog about her highschool life and kinda whorish love life. Somehow a bunch of other teenage girls can relate to it and even some males I guess. I would never want to read a blog that was just soley based on someones problems. We all have our own prolems, so why do you want to read about others. Besides the show, I have never seen or looked at a " blog"
Well I at least thought I haven't.
As I was looking through bloggers top 50 blogs, I clicked on the first one;
" Post- Secret"
It is a blog , or they say an art project where people send in there secrets on the back of a home made postcard. I think this blog appeals to me because it is just pictures. Kinda like an Instagram. To me this blog would have to be personal/professional.

One type of blog that I noticed that I completely can not stand is a "political" blog ; like Escha. The style of the blog is Personal. They use cuss words and some stuff isn't capitalized. But I just don't like it because of the content. Politics are boring. Most other politics blogs are very professional, and to me that is very hard to read along and enjoy.

Before comming into this class, I thought that I had never looked at a blog, well what I thought to be a blog. I came to found out that a blog that i have actually looked at a handfull of times and like it, is TMZ.
It has all the best gossip and news about everyones favorite stars. This blog would have to be a professional blog, but the tone is easy to go along with. It is also very amusing to read.

Well hello there,
I just want to start by saying , if you are reading this you are fortunate enough to be reading MY blog because i am fabulous and my blog will be too.

Haha, just kidding.
I should probably start by introducing myself.
My legal name is Emilie Annmarie Treece. I go by either my first name or E-DOLLAZ$.

Well, not exactly this but I guess you could say sometimes,Instagram is where it's at
Since this is my 1st year of college, I decided to focus on school,and balance my social life out as well; add a job onto of all of that, and I would have set myself up for failure  My social life I would say has to be my main "hobby". When I'm not at school or doing my homework at home, you can usually catch me with my dad or my bestfriend.
My dad will always be my Number 1, he has been there since the begging and has never left my side. My best friend though, we have been friends for 14 years, so yes that means she has been my friend since I was in 1st grade. She has a 3 year old son, named Aiden, and let me tell you he is the cutest little pain. I also have many other friends, so if you can't tell I'm a social butterfly.I also enjoy ceramics. I mean everything about it; hand building , the wheel, firing it, glazing/painting it,I could go on. Since most of my time seems to be used up most of the time, I stopped doing it. I am planning on signing up for a class this summer though, because i miss it. But i did make a nice picture collage of some of my work, since you have already read this far into my post.  (;
If you can't tell I'm interested in the "Illuminati", people would say. The word illuminati means so many different things though. Im more into Free Masonry. My Papa was a Free Mason, he paid his dues till the month of his death. To his last day he never talked about what he would see or talk about with his group of Masons in Tucson. Im also a HUGE Disney fan. The fact that Disneyland and everything was once just a dream to Walt and he made it happens, proves that you can accomplish anything you set your heart to. He is a huge inspiration to me ,as childish as it sounds.
Im attending GCC right now to get my associates in either Psychology, or Advanced Behavioral HealthSciences. I am still undecided between the two, but at least I have an idea right? After I make my decision and accomplish that hopefully within the next 2 years , I plan to transfer to an Arizona University and continue my education. For right now, I'm just riding it out and taking it one step at a time.
 But with that being said and me rambling on, Id like to leave my last post off on a good note and share my favorite quote.
"Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared."
